Content Creator volunteering
iLeap welcome volunteers willing to offer at least an hour hour their time a week to assist the foundation engage new and existing customers on our brand. The content creator will help iLeap write articles for our web pages and social media posts.
As a content creator, your role will include the following:
- Creating various content types with relevant tone and style, adhering to the respective style guides.
- Targeting content to specific audiences and focusing on trending topics
- Incorporating blog and social media posts in both websites and social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn
- Conducting keyword research and employ SEO best practices to optimize content
- Analyzing web traffic to measure the success of the content (conversion rates)
iLeap Marketing Officer
Marketing Officer volunteer will plan and oversee iLeap’s marketing activities and campaigns. You will ensure that all marketing operations are successful in meeting goals set by management.
The job of a Marketing Officer will include the following’
- Implement iLeap marketing strategies
- Organize online activities or events to raise brand awareness
- Plan promotional campaigns on a variety of media platforms to increase awareness
- Evaluate success using various metrics
- Prepare content for the publication of marketing material
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth of the iLeap brand
- Collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses
iLeap Fundraiser
The fundraiser will provide assistance to the iLeap team in identifying donor resources, raising funds and writing proposals for long-term sustainability of iLeap,
Responsibilities will include:
- Compiling and maintaining a database of international donor organizations
- Monitor donor websites and identify and inform donor opportunities matching the work of iLeap.
- Assist the Director of Programs in developing program ideas, project proposals and ensure their timely submission
- Undertake research in finding alternative resources for long-term sustainability of the iLeap
- Assist the Director of Programs in developing business plans to generate income from various sources.
- Undertake online research and build contacts with potential individual donors and raise funds for the activities of the iLeap.
- Stive to maintain relationships with existing donors and respond to their requests regularly and keep updating them about the work of the iLeap.
- Team up with the Marketing Officer and Content Creator to develop communications material for the iLeap such as brochure, website, annual report, DVD, poster etc.
- Suggest other innovative ideas for effective resource mobilization.

Volunteering at a glance
- 18 + years is preferrable
- For volunteers in the age bracket of 15 – 17 years, parental/guardian consent is required. Send us an email at info@infrastructureleap.org
- At most 5 working hours per day, Monday to Friday. 8:30am to 9:30am staring and 1:30 pm to 2pm finishing.
- Ability to express yourself in English is required.
- Non-speaking English volunteers who can speak basic English can also apply. iLeap will help you improve your English before leaving Ghana.

Airport pickup & departure
iLeap makes you feel like you are already in Ghana before you get on the plane. You start your program right in your country before arriving at Kotoka International Airport. Your Program Coordinator starts online language tutorials with you (you will arrange with your program coordinator the time convenient to you. It will take just two meetings half an hour) With this, you learn common expressions mostly used by locals in Asante twi. Your program coordinator will test you on arrival using same local expressions. Remember to give yourself a good impression.
Meals
At iLeap, the cost of program fees cover breakfast, lunch and dinner. The best way to acculturate is to live like a local champion. Whether you are at the iLeap centre or with a host family, you will be introduced to delicious Ghanaian meals. We understand that not everyone eats meat. Kindly let’s know your status during your application. Your lunch can be neatly packed for you.
Program Orientation
The Programs Manager will orient you on the iLeap Volunteering Handbook. The session includes a detailed briefing about your rights as a volunteer, safety, security, program ethics among others.
Volunteer placement
iLeap volunteers are carefully placed in communities they can make a real impact. Being mindful of safety and cost, volunteers are placed in communities where they do not have to walk miles or spend extra monies going to project sites daily. We think about cost!!
24/7 in-country support
The safety and wellbeing of iLeap volunteers is non-negotiable. The iLeap team provides 24-hours a day support. This is covered by the Program Fees you have paid. We make sure that you are safe, comfortable and enjoying your experience for your stay with the iLeap team. The iLeap support lines are always active. You can reach the iLeap team every minute within the 24 hours. Feel free to ask questions or make suggestions.
We have medical doctors & nurses who are always available. Remember, this is included in your program fee and you have paid for it.
